From the Hamster Wheel to the Arctic: How I Found My Fairytale
(and Lost My Plan A)
For seven years, my life was measured in boarding passes and flight schedules. I worked at the Budapest airport, watching thousands of people chase their adventures every day. Meanwhile, my own travels looked like everyone else’s: squeeze a trip into a few precious days off, fly out, fly back, and step right back into the hamster wheel.
But deep down, I harbored a childhood dream. I dreamt of Norway—its wild, untamed nature, hiking through endless forests, and living surrounded by dogs.
Then, a sudden shift changed everything.
The Spark and the Leap of Faith

It started with a routine 5-day trip to Norway to visit an acquaintance. Wanting to weave my passion into the journey, I decided to start a photography project focusing on dog breeds. That project led me to someone who would change the course of my life. He wasn’t the destination, but he was the flame.
In a whirlwind of sudden love, we decided to build a life together in Norway.
I burned my bridges. I had no Plan B. I learned to drive, started studying Norwegian, and quit my stable airport job. I threw everything onto one card.
“It really felt like a fairytale, and for the first time, I truly started to believe in them.”
For a time, it was magical. I experienced Norway in all its breathtaking seasons. But as time went on, the fairytale shifted. I realized it wasn’t the relationship itself giving me that magical feeling — it was the fact that I was finally living the story I had always loved. When the relationship ended because we weren’t a right match, the dream didn't die. It just evolved
.
(And if you're wondering what happens when you burn your bridges and suddenly need a Plan B? Well, you go on a pilgrimage. But that is a story for another day...)
Alignment and New Horizons
When I eventually returned to Hungary, the universe threw me a lifeline. I instantly landed a 100% remote job working for a Norwegian dating site — a beautiful twist of irony and a heavenly gift from above. The stars had aligned, and the world was wide open.
Armed with a laptop and a desire to see the world, I discovered the world of volunteering and dog sitting. Fast forward to today: I have been traveling for three whole years.
Where I Am Now: The Edge of the World

Right now, I am writing this from the northernmost reaches of Norway. I’m spending two months immersed in the world of sled dogs, learning from a truly remarkable woman who once spent nine months walking across Alaska. Her expedition book, Til fots gjennom Alaska, sits on my shelf as a constant reminder of what the human spirit is capable of.
This journey is no longer just about Norway. My paths are leading me to so many different cultures and landscapes, and I truly hope that I can bring you along with me through my art and this blog.
I want to show that there is a completely different way to travel—we just need to be brave enough to take the leap. I chose this path to meet those people around the world who instantly give me the feeling of home. I can never know beforehand where I will find the next piece of my soul's puzzle, but I know one thing: those pieces are people, and they are hidden and scattered all around the globe.
It might sound a bit cheesy or overly romanticized when written down, but right now, in this very moment, this is exactly how I feel.
Through my stories, my photography, and my drawings, I want to take you along on these wild expeditions and quiet moments of discovery.
Welcome to my journey. I'm so glad you're here.
